Are the dead really dead?

f) 1 Cor 15:51 Paul says there’ll be people sleeping when Jesus comes 1 Cor 15:51; 1 Thess 4:14 etc.

g) 1 Thess 5:23 Spirit, soul & body preserved blameless till He comes

h) John 5:28, 29 All are in graves

i) Ezekiel 18:4 Souls die.

j) Job 4:17 Man is mortal

k) 1 Timothy 6:15, 16 God only hath immortality

l) Acts 2:29,34 King David not in heaven

m) Psalms 17:15 David expects to awake in God’s likeness

n) 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 At the last triumph, man put on immortality.

o) John 11:11, 14, Matthew 27:52 Death is a sleep

p) Job 14:12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more

q) 2 Peter 3:10 The day of the Lord will come ... in which the heavens shall pass away

r) Gen 3:3 God said, “If ye eat, ye die”

s) Genesis 3:4 Satan said Ye shall not die!

t) 1 Peter 4:6 gospel "was" preached to them while they were yet living, now dead.

u) Revelation 6:9 This cry was figurative, as was the cry of Abel's blood (Genesis 4:10)

v) 1 Peter 3:18 preaching "by the Spirit" (verse 18) to people who were then living (verses 19, 20).

w) John 20:17 I am not yet ascended to my Father after saying to the thief about paradise.

x) Job 27:3;33:4 "spirit" and "breath" are the same

y) The soul is used according to context and usually means the body Acts 27:37; but sometimes can mean life Gen 35::18.

z) Psalms 115:17 The dead praise not the Lord.

aa) Psalms 6:5 In death no remembrance.

ff) Eccl 12:7 The dust goes back to dust, the spirit that God “GAVE” (Gen 2:7) returns to him. NOTE: Everybody’s spirit or spark of life goes back to God – Even Hitler’s spirit. Where does it say that the wicked person’s spirit goes to hell at death? Instead they are reserved until the Day of Judgment to be punished - 2 Peter 2:9. By the way the judgment to determine where they should go is not until the end of the world - 2 Tim 4:1.

gg) One final question I like to ask is what part is the immortal part – the soul or the spirit? If it’s the soul then you can’t use those spirit texts etc!!!!!
