In the Light of God's Word...
I understand that the beast of Revelation 13:1-10 and the little horn of Daniel 7 are the same power.
I understand that that power held supremacy in the world for hundreds of years, warring against God and His people.
I understand that that power, claiming the right to change God’s law, instituted Sunday observance.
Next Lesson: The Sign of Loyalty
As I read and study the Bible, it occurs to me that, ultimately, God wants two things from us. First, I'd have to say that He wants a loving relationship with every one of us and secondly, He wants our obedience. One without the other is of no value when you reallize that God has our best interest in mind when He asks us to do something or not do something. Can we really love Him and yet refuse to obey Him? Is it of any worth to obey Him if we don't really love Him? John 14:15 states, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." Lesson 23 explores the mark of the beast when God will seal His loyal people in their foreheads and will place a mark on the forehead, or on the hand, of those who are loyal to the beasts of Revelation 13.
