Six Key Ingredients to Endure till the End

Jesus said in Matt 24:13, "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved". In the Bible, there are things that is said to endure. If those things endure by nature and if I put those things in me, then it means I must also endure. Here are the six key ingredients that we need inorder to endure unto the END:

Ingredient 1: The Word of God endures forever

We must have the word of God in us to endure:

1 Pet 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

If I want to learn to endure until the end, I must have the word of God in me, because the Word of God endureth or abideth forever. Are you studying what the word of God has to say about your Christian walk?

Ingredient 2: God's Love endureth forever

We must have Love in order to endure:

1 Cor 13:7 Charity [love] beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Love enables me to endure because love is ever enduring. If the devil can keep in my heart hatred towards just one person, I will not endure, because hate doesn’t endure. Hate ultimately will be destroyed and what ever clings to hate will itself be destroyed.

1 John 2:11 “But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness”. Jesus said, ‘Do not return evil for evil’ Romans 12:17, 20.

Ingredient 3: God's Mercy endureth forever

We must have God’s mercy in order to endure:

Psalm 118 - In the entire chapter, the mercy of God is said to endure forever over many times.

Jesus said if you are unwilling to forgive others, you yourself will not be forgiven:

Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

If we have a problem showing Mecry to someone, we must go to God:

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We should obtain mercy because we don’t have mercy to give. We must go to God to get mercy because that is His character. So, when we are facing a stumbling block, we must ask, God please give your mercy so that I can endure. Devil knows all he must do is to keep me holding a grudge against one person. If he can do that, then we will not endure.

When the bible says, let us come boldly to the throne of grace, it also means we must pray. We have to keep praying, because in the last days, we have to show mercy to our persecutors. If we are unable to show mercy to your persecutors, we will not endure till the end.

Ingredient 4: God’s name/character endureth forever

Psalm 135:13 Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever

God’s name represents His character, which is said to abide forever. If I want to endure, I must have God’s character in me. That’s why Jesus said that we should be like our heavenly father.

Matthew 5:45 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

If we are not loving, kind, sincere, and patient and if we are not striving for those attributes, we will not endure. Jesus says, He is able to keep us from falling:

Jude 4Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless

And if we fall, He says He will help us:

1 John 2:1 If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Ingredient 5: God’s Law endureth forever

Psalm 119:160,44 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever…for I have hoped in thy judgments. 44So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

The bible says, God desires to write His law in our hearts and His law endureth forever. The devil will try to trick us by saying that we don’t have to keep God’s law, but Revelation 21:14 says, "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Ingredient 6: God’s praise endures forever

Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

The bitter ever complaining spirit eliminates us from enduring till the end. God wants us to learn how to praise him forever. We need to do it here, for guess what we will be doing in heaven? We’ll be living lives of eternal praise. If we learn to praise God in the trial, those praises will make those stumbling blocks in our christian race much easier to bear.

Conclusion: If we have these six key ingredients in us, then we will endure till the end because these six ingredients by very nature endureth forever.
